Undermountain Farm specializes in beginners of any age but we can accommodate riders of all levels. We make a special effort to have friendly, reliable, and versatile school horses.
We do not provide trail rides to the public. We welcome visitors, but please do not feed or touch the horses or enter their stalls or pastures without a supervising staff member! Please keep your dog in your car or on a short leash. Dogs are not permitted to run loose on the farm.

We emphasize safety, relationship and overall horsemanship, therefore, we generally require the first lesson to be one hour long. It will be a general introduction to getting to know the horse, horsemanship, grooming, tacking, etc. This allows horse, rider and instructor to get to know one another for a more safe and enjoyable riding lesson experience.
Additional lessons may be ½ hour or hour long– private or grouped with riders at the same level.
CANCELLATION POLICY:
Any lesson canceled day-of WILL be charged for a full lesson. Due to a tight lesson schedule, any lesson that is delayed due to tardiness will have to shorten in order to not delay further lessons and will remain the same price.
$40 Fee for any returned checks.

Unmounted horsemanship lessons are available for those who just want to be with the horse but not necessarily ride. These focus on relationship and bonding through grooming, handling and groundwork.
Pony rides available for 15 minutes or ½ hour which includes grooming, some basic horsemanship and ride. Reservations required.
Family/Group package – In depth 1 1/2 -2 hour group lesson starting with meet and greet the horses, grooming, general horse care, tacking, horsemanship and mounted lesson.
We offer many levels of horse care. We offer full care regular board for $700 per month (this includes hay, grain, worming, stall cleaning and turn in and out). Training board can be arranged with the barn manager. Please call with any questions.
